2002 ICOTY Awards - Sports Car
Most Sex Appeal - Lexus SC430

ROAD & TRAVEL's 2002 Most Sex Appeal -- Lexus SC430Can a car be sexy? If it's the new Lexus coupe, the answer is yes. From its "come hither" stance to its teasingly fast 300-horsepower V-8, the new Lexus is hot to trot. Possessing sex appeal also means stimulating on another level, as well. The SC430 sets the heart pounding as soon as the retractable hardtop is dropped (which is a quick 25 seconds, by the way) and the wind starts to swirl your hair. The SC430 was created at Lexus' European design center, and was inspired by the sights and styles of the French Riviera, and we all know what sizzles on the beaches in the summertime, don't we?

While the Ford Thunderbird and Jaguar X-Type were worthy competitors in this segment, neither could match the Lexus' supple leather seats or beautiful blonde wood accents that blanket the dash, steering wheel and center console. Sexy sometimes means being fully stacked, and the Lexus SC430 comes with everything except, well, it comes with everything! For example, the SC is loaded with a navigation system, Vehicle Skid Control system, high-end Mark Levinson audio, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Sexy is being smart; sexy is being strong, and sexy is being Lexus.
