Travel Protection Offers New Option Through InsureMyTrip.com
For
the first time, consumers who buy travel insurance have the option of a receiving
a full insurance premium refund if their trip is canceled for any reason. This
innovative new feature, the Return of Premium Option, was designed and developed
by CSA Travel Protection and is available to travelers who purchase CSA's new
WebDirect Policy online through InsureMyTrip.com.
"With
the purchase of this plan upgrade, CSA's Return of Premium Option guarantees that
at a minimum, insured travelers will be refunded the cost of their CSAWebDirect
insurance premium if they cancel their trip for any reason -- covered or not,"
said Claudia Fullerton, Chief Operating Officer of CSA Travel Protection, a leading
travel insurance provider.
"In
addition, if their trip is canceled due to a covered reason beyond their control,
they will receive the CSAWebDirect insurance premium back in addition to any payable
claim they may have filed."
Offered
for the first time in the travel insurance industry, the Return of Premium Option
costs just 10 percent of the CSAWebDirect gross premium. To take advantage of
the waiver, all travelers insured on the policy must cancel the trip, and supply
proof they canceled before the scheduled departure date.
