The 13th Annual International Car of the Year (ICOTY) Awards opened up its 2009 ceremony with its annual HEART STRING presentation.
Presented with the Hollywood flair of the Academy Awards, the ICOTY Awards took center stage at MGM Grand Detroit on January 10, 2009, kicking off press week for the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS).
The presentation, formerly known as the HEART STRING Award, was designed to recognize how well automakers tap into the emotional connection between car and consumer.
The tribute, produced and presented by ROAD & TRAVEL Magazine, celebrated that connection with a heart-pounding montage of clips from the most consumer-friendly car commercials shown on national television in 2008. |
