(Photo: Rachel L. Miller)

The Birger SandzÚn Memorial Gallery houses the largest and most extensive collection of SandzÚn's paintings, prints, drawings and watercolors found anywhere in the world. Among other artists represented in the collections are Henry Varnum Poor, Doel Reed, Carl Milles, Marsden Hartley, B.J.O. Nordfelt, John Bashor, Lester Raymer, Raymond Jonson, and John Stuart Curry. The gallery also has an impressive collection of prints, ranging from European to American regionalist printmakers and a variety of art from Asia.

Botanica, the Wichita Gardens, is a place where visitors can relax and reflect by strolling through numerous gardens and the Butterfly House. The beautifully sculptured gardens will leave visitors feeling amazed at the surrounding greenery.

Exploration Place is one the newest attractions in Wichita. Audiences encounter immersive environments and hands-on experiences related to flight, health and human life, people, places and environments of Kansas, and imaginative spaces for young children. A place for people of all ages. Three cutting-edge theatres also educate and entertain.

The Indian Center Museum, located in the Mid-America All-Indian Center, preserves and showcases the heritage of the Native American tribes of North America. Permanent and rotating exhibits of both traditional artifacts and contemporary art depict Native American cultures of both past and present. The exhibits provide insight into the culture and forces which were responsible for the survival, diversity, and unique achievements of our Native People. The Museum also maintains a limited research library available for public.

The Prairie Rose Chuckwagon Supper is something every visitor to Wichita must experience. You'll get top-notch entertainment after a delicious all-you-can-eat meal on a working cattle ranch just outside of the city.

The Wichita Art Museum is the largest art museum in Kansas, featuring an immense and nationally-renowned collection of American art. The museum also has a large gallery full of historic Western art.
